John Alvin Krueger, age 71 of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Mercy Health Center in Rockford.

John was born on July 10, 1946 in Mankato, MN, the son of Clarence and Lavola (Miller) Krueger. He is a United States Marine Veteran. John served in the Vietnam War and is a Purple Heart recipient. He married Jane Bell on October 22, 1977 in Rock Falls. He was a truck driver and drove for Myers Transportation for the past 20 years. John was a lifelong member of the VFW and Minnesota Street Rod Association. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He enjoyed fishing and going to car shows, but most of all loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; one daughter, Jamey Krueger of Rock Falls; two sons, Jimmy Krueger (Jennifer Forward) of Rock Falls and Donnie Legel of Rock Falls; five grandchildren, Addisyn Krueger, Alyssa Krueger, Alexis Krueger, Ashlyn Legel and Jeslyn Krueger; one brother, Duane (Pudgy) Krueger of Mankato, MN; one sister, Lucy Masters of Mankato, MN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jeff Krueger.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will be Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Military honors will follow.
